FemEng in Rwanda is a student ran collaboration with the University of Rwanda. For four years the project took a small group of FemEng students from the University of Glasgow to meet with a team from Rwanda to teach STEM in local schools. Over the course of the four-year project, the team visited over 3600 children from all over Rwanda, delivering a range of workshops from Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Mining Engineering. The team members also got different insights into the local engineering industry within Rwanda, and gained invaluable advice byconnecting them with inspirational women in engineeringthrough meetings and site visits. . With the help of FemEng, the members in Rwanda set up their own society to continue the outreach work throughout the year and provide support for women in STEM to come together.
